Last December 22, my co-worker, Ice, and I met with our former co-worker, Mara, in Starbucks Podium. After an hour of talking and chismis, we decided to grab lunch before my meeting (yes, I got hungry okay). Mara suggested we try Borough.
One great thing about the restaurant is that it is open 24/7! Whenever you feel like eating the finest comfort food you could ever imagine, apparently, Borough is the place to be!
Ice ordered their Baked Mac and the famous Chocolate Chicken Wings, while Mara and I ordered their Homemade Pumpkin Ravioli.
It doesn’t look appetizing at first but it’s really delicious! Stuffed with roasted garlic and pumpkin, the dish also has cranberries and walnuts and pesto sauce (sorry, it’s basil puree according to their menu). Finished my plate in less than 10 minutes.
Their Chocolate Chicken Wings are tasty. It’s amazing how the flavors blend well together with the spiciness of the wings.
Their service is as good as their food. 🙂 And the place – oh how I fell in love with the place! Each table has a cute green bottle with fresh flowers. Some chairs have floral designs. I wasn’t able to take pictures (I don’t have a decent camera with me then) but it was really cozy and nice!
Open 24/7, Borough takes American comfort food favorites and serves them in a laid-back, loft-style space inspired by New York’s artsy Brooklyn neighborhood. Wood surfaces, communal tables for large groups, and floral prints on stools and dining chairs lend a warm, eclectic vibe to the restaurant. References to New York City are strewn all over the place, including subway signs, snapshots of Manhattan life on the walls, and subway maps printed on the restaurant’s paper liners. – SPOT.PH
I am definitely going back here to try out more food! I am eyeing their Mom’s Milk and Cookies. Yum!
